Scientific American’ (sometimes abbreviated as SciAm, or simply SA) is an American popular science magazine. It publishes in-depth feature articles, timely news stories, expert opinions and commentary, podcasts, videos, infographics, photo features, and other forms of storytelling.

Founded in 1845, SA is the oldest continuously running magazine in the United States. Many famous thinkers, such as Albert Einstein and Nikola Tesla, have contributed articles to it. In total, more than 200 Nobel Prize winners have written for the magazine.
